Writing a Persuasive Memo - How to win an argument on paper.  Guidelines for presenting a logical and balanced point of view. The importance of the Situation Analysis.  How to deal with options.  Reducing perceived risk.  Considering the reader's decision criteria.


Organizing Information for Management - How to plan, organize and write various types of analytical memos, reports and letters that get read  --  and get results.  A simple outlining technique that works when working alone or with teams.  Outlining exercise and discussion.


The Proposal Format - An ideal format for presenting written recommendations.  Understanding the architecture of a proposal:  the function of each section and how it meets the needs of the decision-maker.  How the sections connect and build.  


Case Work - Participants are broken down into small teams.  Each team, working with a case study, organizes the key sections of a proposal to management.  This is followed by an informal presentation and discussion of each team’s work.

How to Develop Good Writers - Managing the communication process in a business unit. The responsibility of managers to improve the writing skills of their people.  How to give a writing assignment.
